Magdalena Plasilova, MD, PhD
BREAST SURGEON
Magdalena Plasilova, MD, PhD is a board certified surgeon and a passionate advocate for women’s health. She obtained her MD, PhD from Charles University, Prague. She is a Yale-fellowship trained breast surgical oncologist and has worked with leading researchers including Nobel Prize laureate Gunter Blobel, MD, PhD. In addition, she was responsible for starting the first multidisciplinary breast center in an underserved area in East Brooklyn, NY. She specializes in breast conservation surgery and nipple-areola sparing mastectomy. She is trained in a special mastectomy technique called tumescent dissection that makes it easier for plastic surgeons to do any type of breast reconstruction. She is certified in a hidden scar surgical technique using very small hidden incisions. She works with a multidisciplinary team of specialists. She is involved in breast cancer research, surgical innovation and community outreach. She is fluent in multiple languages, including Russian and Czech. She was selected to be a global mentor by the We Are Family Foundation in 2019.

PATIENT ADVOCATE
Irina is our patient advocate. She has a Bachelor Degree in Finance and Economics. She has extensive experience in healthcare administration. She is warm and wonderful and is dedicated to providing an excellent patient experience. As your patient advocate she can help you with appointments, scheduling of various tests, insurance questions, and general hand holding. She is available to you in person, phone and email.
